Back-to-school state-mandated vaccines will be offered by VDH in TCPS for rising 7th and 12th graders in 2024-2025 on April 15, 16 and 19.

Due to the timing of the solar eclipse and school dismissal, Tazewell County Public Schools will release students on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 12:00 p.m.

The VDOE is asking for your assistance in the completion of the survey by each family who has a child with a disability and is provided special education services through an IEP. Families who have more than one child receiving special education services should complete a survey for each of their children. A security feature within the electronic survey submission process requires a different internet browser or device when multiple surveys are submitted.
This year’s due date to complete and submit survey responses, in any modality, is December 13, 2024.

GHS Prom will be held on May 4th at Fincastle from 8-midnight.
THS Prom will be held on May 11th from 8-11 on Main Street in Tazewell.
RHS Prom will be held on May 18 from 8-11 on the front lawn at Richlands High School.


Graduation for ALL 3 high schools will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Richlands High School’s ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Tazewell High School’s ceremony will be at 1 p.m. Graham High School’s ceremony will be held at 4 p.m.


The TCPS School Board announced tonight that the last day of school for students will be Wednesday, June 5, 2024. The last day of school for teachers will be Thursday, June 6, 2024.


Richlands Area:
Bus 93 will not run.
Buses 30, 84, and 91 will transport those students.
Bus 30-Indian Creek to Ravens Nest Branch / Bus 84-Indian Creek after Ravens Nest Branch / Bus 91-McQuire Valley
Graham Area :
Abbs Valley / Pocahontas
Bus 28 will not run.
Bus 96 will be delivering all students.
