Bus 34 will pick up students from Rasnake Rd. to Adria Rd.
Bus 48 will pick up Mundytown Road.

Spring Break this year starts on Friday, April 18, and ends on April 22nd. Students, faculty, and staff will return to school on Wednesday, April 23rd.!


Jaden Redd (left) and Taryn Stiltner (right) are the co-presidents of the THS DECA chapter. Jaden is also the DECA district president. They are pictured with their advisor B.G. Trump (center). Both ladies received 2nd place at the district-level DECA competitions. Taryn competed in the marketing communications event while Jaden participated in the quick-serve restaurant management category. Jaden and Taryn both placed 6th in their competitions at the state leadership conference in Virginia Beach in the business solutions category. They will be competing in the international DECA conference in Orlando in April! Way to go, ladies!

Bus 1 will pick up Taylor Circle and Mill Creek Road.
Bus 14 will pick up Rodeo, Westmont and Reedy Rd.
Bus 64 will pick up 4 Lane West Bound.
Bus 65 will pick up Silver Spur and Food City Gas and Go.


Jayden Short was recognized at this week's school board meeting. She is a 9th grader at Tazewell High School and will be attending the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Boston on June 25-27. The Congress of Future Medical leaders is held at the Univ. of Massachusetts Lowell Campus. This event is an honors-only program for high school students to honor, inspire, motivate and direct the top students in the U.S. toward a career in the medical field. Congrats, Jayden!


TAZEWELL AREA:

Carter Creasy from THS was recognized at this week's school board meeting for his basketball and football accomplishments. Carter has scored 1000 points during his basketball career. In addition, for football, he is the VHSL record holder for career completions with 839 and 2nd in all-time VHSL history for both all-purpose yards (13,098) and career passing yards (11, 082). He is in 5th place in VHSL for total touchdowns with 131 and also 7th all-time VHSL for passing touchdowns with 104. Lastly, he holds the school record for passing yards with 501 against Giles in 2023.

Kay Corwell was recognized by THS Principal Jerry Smith at this week's school board meeting for recently being named a WVVA Hometown Hero. Kay serves as the Communities in School of the Appalachian Highlands representative for THS and works daily to provide students with basic needs such as water, electricity, food, and clothing. Kay also sponsors "Cinderella's Closet" to make sure that all students have access to prom dresses and suits.
Each year she supplies several families of THS students with Thanksgiving turkeys and Christmas hams, as well as all of the fixings for a proper holiday meal. Kay goes above and beyond for the students of THS! Congrats to our Hometown Hero!



All TCPS graduation ceremonies will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025!
Graham High School’s will be held at 10 a.m.
Tazewell High School’s will be held at 1 p.m.
Richlands High School’s will be held at 4 p.m.


Our school board announced tonight that the last day of school for this academic year will be June 5, 2025 for students and June 6, 2025 for teachers.


Report cards will go home tomorrow for the 4th six weeks!
